Boys Junior Prep is back at the Evansville Basketball Academy! The Greater Evansville Basketball League will be conducting a 5-week league for Boys 5th, 6th & 7th grade school teams or school feeder teams. All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 7 games played beginning on November 25-27 with the Thanksgiving Shootout. All game will be played on Saturday’s. Regular season games will be played after 12 pm the first three Saturdays in December, with a single elimination tournament taking place January 7th. Individual awards will be presented for tournament champions. There will be a limit on the number of teams that we can handle, so sign up early. Deadline for all plaid individuals in November 19th. Final rosters are set at the tip of the first game.

  • Player/Team Fee: $95 per player (plus online registration fee) with a minimum of 8 players per. No roster adjustments after opening weekend.Cost does not include jerseys, but we can offer options for $5 each if needed. 2 coaches and 1 score/clock keeper per team will get in free. All fees and waivers if completing offline, must be turned in before the deadline to be placed on schedule.
  • All teams are encouraged to supply their own game jerseys. If assistance is needed with jerseys, our staff will be able to assist.
  • Rules: A five minute warm-up is allowed prior to each league game. League games will be two 14 minute (traditional clock) halves. One 30 sec time out is allowed per half as well as two floating full timeouts. A three minute break at the half will be utilized. First overtime is 2 minutes. Second overtime is sudden death (first basket wins).
  • Player and fan/parents conduct will be strictly enforced. Fighting results in an immediate dismissal from the G.E.B.L without refund. The G.E.B.L staff will not be responsible for forfeits. 4 on 4 play is allowed. *Some contests may participate in the Elam Ending format*
  • The G.E.B.L will observe all IHSAA guidelines that are applicable to the age group.
  • Spectators will be charged a $5 admission fee each week. Children 12 and under receive free entry. Pass outs will be available. 2 bench coaches and 1 scoreboard/sheet operator will receive free admission upon signing in.
