THE HARDWOOD HYSTERIA will mark the 5TH league/tournament that has been ran locally by Evansville Basketball Academy and Pocket City Basketball since June and we have found much success navigating through the current landscape by being attentive and holding everyone accountable for following strict Covid-19 protocols. We will not be able to offer this opportunity to the young men and young ladies without the assistance and cooperation from the community. Below you will find some basic notes regarding play that will begin this weekend. Keep in mind, game rules and times may change at the the discretion of the event operator.

** WE WILL ASK THAT EACH PARTICIPANT ARRIVE TO THE EVANSVILLE BASKETBALL ACADEMY NO EARLIER THAN 15-20 MINUTES BEFORE GAME TIME. PLAYERS, PLEASE MEET YOUR COACH IN A PRE-DETERMINED AREA IN THE PARKING LOT (DO NOT WALK UP INDIVIDUALLY TO THE ENTRY DOORS, FORM AS A TEAM WITH THE COACH). A STAFF MEMBER WILL NOTIFY ALL PLAYERS AND COACHES WHEN THEY MAY ENTER THE FACILITY. SPECTATORS (2 ADULT ENTRIES PER PLAYER), GAIN ENTRY AFTER PAYMENT GATE THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR. SPECTATORS MUST LET ALL PLAYERS ENTER THE FACILITY FIRST **

– All game times are Central Time Zone

– There is a $5 admission fee per adult (at this time, siblings are unable to attend games) each Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Please exercise proper social distancing while awaiting your turn at the payment counter.

– EACH TEAM IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ONE SCOREBOARD OPERATOR/SCORESHEET OPERATOR. Upon signing in, the volunteers from each team will receive free entry. COACHES, PLEASE MAKE SURE THIS VOLUNTEER IS PREDETERMINED. LETS NOT TRY TO FIND A VOLUNTEER RIGHT BEFORE TIP.

– COACHES MUST PROVIDE WARM UP BASKETBALLS. A GAME BALL WILL BE PROVIDED.

– Immediately upon the conclusion of each game. We will ask that coaches immediately escort the players to their communicated area in the gym to give a brief closing and for the players to change into walking shoes/slides, gather belongings, etc (Our staff will quickly ask players and coaches to leave the bench area). Our staff will not allow any lingering in the gym as we need to properly sanitize to allow the next set of players and spectators into the facility for their contest.

– At this time, concessions will not be available. A beverage vending machine will be available in the lobby.

– Pass outs will NOT be available. Once the game tip times come, the front entry doors will be closed. THE FRONT ENTRANCE IS FOR ENTERING ONLY. EVERYONE MUST EXIT OUT ONE OF THE SIDE EXIT DOORS. DURING THE LAST GAME SLOT ONLY WILL PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS BE ALLOWED TO EXIT OUT THE FRONT ENTRANCE. Once you leave the facility, you may not be allowed back in. There are no exceptions to this. If a player or spectator is late to arrive to the facility and did not notify either the bench coach or Pocket City Basketball direct, there is a good chance they will not be allowed into the facility after tip occurs. No spectator is allowed to open the front entry door or enter the front entry without the permission of a staff member.

– Our Covid-19 Protocol is listed on the website, front entry doors and below in this email. We expect all spectators and players to adhere to all protocols. Facial coverings will 100% be required for all spectators. Facial coverings must be worn at all times and they must cover the mouth and the nose. Players must have a facial covering on as they enter and exit the facility.

**After each time slot, the gym is cleared and disinfected. We ask that patience is exercised while this action is completed. **
