Coach Walker came to Pocket City in 2015 as head coach of the 17U, 2016 class. The following season he transitioned to the 15U, 2019 class, in which he is the former head coach of the class of 2019.
Coach Walker(Linton, IN), moved to Evansville in 2000 and coached in the Evansville Mater Dei feeder system for two years. He then took a job in nearby Mt Vernon, as a junior high head coach (03-04), before coming back to Evansville in 2005 as the 8th grade head coach of the Thompkins Middle School and Evansville Central Jr Prep teams. After a four year stint, he took over as the head coach of the Central Freshman team and a Varsity assistant role under head coach, Brent Chitty. He is currently the Head Coach at Evansville Central.
Rodney is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana (BS,’05) & Indiana Wesleyan University (MS,’10). He is a teacher with the EVSC, and is married to wife, Amy, and have two children, Blake and Addison.
Coach Walker has transitioned into consulting duties with Pocket City Basketball.
