Coach Brian Owen was raised in the basketball hot-bed of Bloomington, Indiana where he played a lot of basketball growing up. Coach Owen was first approached to volunteer his time as a recreational coach as a Sophomore at Indiana University. Coaching became natural and life changing because of his relentless hunger for the knowledge of the game.
Coach Owen has been both an assistant and head coach for local recreational youth basketball organizations. Coach “O”, has experience working with Evansville Harrison Jr Prep travel basketball and Grassroots basketball for 9 years. He believes in teaching how to control the pace of play and playing with sound fundamental team basketball. He expects hard work, listening and for all his players to respect the game and have fun while doing it.
Each player selected to be on his team must represent themselves, the game and the Pocket City Basketball organization with respect and pride.
